University Grant commission (UGC) with collaboration of 21 Universities of Bangladesh signed an agreement to development a structure in universities to ensure quality education in Bangladesh. In the list of 21 universities, there are 13 private universities including in it.
On 14th June, 2015 Sunday the agreement was signed including Tk. 42 crore in second round at auditorium of university grant commission (UGC). The universities which signed the agreement with university grant commission (UGC) are under below:
1- Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University,
2- Patuakhali Science and Technology University,
3- Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University,
4- Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology,
5- Khulna University of Engineering and Technology,
6- Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology,
7- Sylhet Agricultural University,
8- Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University,
9- Independent University of Bangladesh,
10- International University of Business Agriculture and Technology,
11- Asian University of Bangladesh,
12- Gono Bishwabidyalay,
13- Dhaka International University,
14- South East University,
15- Daffodil International University,
16- Northern University Bangladesh,
17- Eastern University,
18- Uttara University,
19- United International University,
20- University of Asia and Pacific,
21- BRAC University.
The ceremoany chaired by the university grant commission’s chairman Prof Abdul Mannan and education secretary Md. Nazrul Islam Khan was attended on this function as the chief guest. Talking on the event, the Education Secretary said the excellence of advanced education must be upgraded as academic at the tertiary level cast a noteworthy influence on the complete growth of a nation.
