“Dhaka University “or “University of Dhaka “is an oldest university in Dhaka Bangladesh. It is founded in 1921 during the british government. In early years it is also called “Oxford of the East” because of its contribution and popularity in the field of education. After the partition of Pakistan and India it was the basic and important point to make progress and to flourish demarcation in country. Students and teachers of Dhaka University contribute very well for Bengali people and for the independence of Bangladesh. Dhaka University is a largest public university in Bangladesh and is contributing a very important role in education for the students in this time. There are 33,000 students are studying and faculty of teachers are 1800. According to the Asiaweek it is one of the top 100 universities in Asia. Dhaka Board 2015 SSC Result. The university has 13 faculties with 70 departments. 1. Faculty of Arts 2. Faculty of Business Studies 3. Faculty of Biological Science 4. Faculty of Engineering and Technology 5. Faculty of Social Sciences 13. Faculty of Earth and Environmental Sciences According to the survey of THE–QS UK, in 2011-2012 Dhaka university in Bangladesh ranked 551 out of 30,000 universities in world. |
